Politicians - The Issues

  1. THEY ARE NOT TECHNICAL - Politicians are not capable of designing, building, project managing or otherwise instantiating any of the infrastructure required for our day to day living. They are gas bags.
  2. THEY DON'T LIVE IN THE REAL WORLD - They don't have 9 to 5 jobs. No matter what they did before they came to parliament, they have been reduced to doing nothing practical. They don’t work in a factory anymore. They don’t tend patients. They don’t build infrastructure. They don’t drive busses. They don’t bake stuff. They don’t cook stuff (except their expenses). The don’t clean stuff (except us out of money and confidence). And no one ever shouts “Quick! Get me a politician!”. They are, literally, useless.
  3. THEY ONLY SHOUT AT EACH OTHER - You only have to watch the UK house of commons to understand that the behaviour that they exhibit during sessions like Prime Minister's Questions is behaviour that you'd not accept from your young children. Name calling, shouting over, ignoring and blaming someone else for everything that is wrong.

Swords & Rituals

The UK parliament is out of touch with modern society!

Their systems and processes are archaic and childish. They hark back to an era that is long in the past.

  • Before, nearly free, instantaneous global communications
  • Before the internet
  • Before the petrol engine
  • Before the computer
  • Before the microwave
  • Before...well, anything modern

Doublespeak

propaganda on steroids

If you don't vote, you can't complain.

So, if you do vote, you legitimise the talking shop.

You facilitate the farce that is the UK (and other) parliaments.

You are responsible for the chaos over Brexit and all other shouting matches.

Voting is a way to have your voice

Voting is, empirically, a way to give your voice away.

And you only get 12 chances to do that in your adult life.

The rest of the time, your avatar, your politician has your voice.

The system is representative

You must wait for your keepers to grant your next opportunity to "have your say".

That doesn't sound representative.  You can't speak when you want.

Voice Of The Electorate 2

It is time to modernise

  1. BEYOND PARTY POLITICS - Create a system that by-passes the traditional party politics model of democracy.
  2. ELECTORATE EMPOWRED - A system that engages, liberates and empowers the electorate to have a direct say in the running of their country
  3. ACCOUNTABLE AND TRANSPARENT - Creating a system that has a complete audit trail and is transparent in operation.
  4. COST SAVINGS - Designing a cheaper, more efficient system of citizen participation democracy. Limiting or reducing costs across the board in our political system. From public buildings to employee expenses. From the number of staff to the cost of the food bill.
  5. EASE OF USE - A new system that is as easy to use as reality T.V. voting or your bank ATM.

We can elect teams of humans that know how to design, develop, build and deliver real life infrastructure and projects that transform our lives. We get to hold all these technical teams responsible. We'll pay them handsomely. They are doing our service. We can recall / sack them, at any time.
